Nandri Foundation is a non profitable organization registered under the Indian Trust Act (Reg. No. 18/2015) working for the development of the vulnerable community in Tiruvannamalai, Vellore and Villupuram Districts in South India.
“Nandri” in Tamil means thanks/gratitude. It was started with the aim of expressing gratitude towards the creation for its contribution for making the human life happier. Nandi Foundation was started with a noble objective of empowering the families by bringing them together, linking their potentials with available resources and enabling them to develop long-term sustainable solutions instead of giving short term handouts.
Our Vision
Nandri Foundation was started with a vision of creating a safe and enabling environment/society where everyone responsibly acts in protecting the rights and the dignity of every child as defined in UNCRC. This is to inculcate that the best interest of the children is the paramount Importance for everyone in an educated society.
Since, Nandri upholds children at the centre of everything and values the best interest of the children, all the activities are designed towards protecting and promoting the well being of the children in all the ways possible.

What we do
Nandri believes that family is the primary stakeholder in safeguarding the rights and the dignity of their children, so empowering the families and educating the children are the two major activities of Nandri. All the other activities are cantered around these two.
Currently, Nandri provides a number of programs for over 3500 mothers, including micro-finance for education and for the acquisition of income generating assets such as cows or sewing machines . Nancy also provides finance for children to go to 3rd level college..
